Leaf Creations

This week in ELD, students collected leaves, crafted a leaf picture, and wrote stories about them. I was amazed by the creativity and the wisdom these young 1st graders have. When I least expect it, kids surprise you with their ingenious.

A Special Visit

This week, my Mom and Dad came out from Colorado and visited my class. They jumped right in and helped students with their spelling and sounding out strategies. It was a joy to have them see me as a teacher and meet my wonderful class!

They're twins! Tillie's arm is in a sling due to her shoulder surgery. My mom
sling is due to a dislocated shoulder.
